FAQs

Do I need safety equipment?

Cycling is safe and fun, but accidents can happen. All riders will need a cycle helmet in good condition, with no cracks or dents.

Do I need my own bike?

I recommend you bring your own bike to make sure you get the best experience. However, if you don’t have one there are options available. Feel free to contact me to discuss.

I don’t want to ride on my own!

Solo lessons can be catered to make you feel comfortable and confident, but I’m happy to work with groups of up to five people of roughly equal ability. For larger groups please get in touch.

My school / company / charity wants to organise lessons, can you help?

Absolutely! I’ve got over 10 years experience running classes with schools and have worked with a number of other organisations too. Give me a call to discuss your needs.

Where do you work?

I am based in Bicester. Lessons can be run locally at a number of pre-assessed locations in the area and throughout Cherwell and Oxfordshire. I’m also happy to travel to your preferred location if required. Additional charges may apply depending on distance and any need to risk-assess the location prior to classes. Please contact me.

What should I bring?

A cycle helmet is the only required clothing. Any other comfortable clothing is fine. Just remember that cycling is an outdoor activity, so please dress appropriately for the weather on the day! Please do bring a water bottle, particularly on warmer days.

What if it rains?

A bit of rain never hurt anybody, but serious adverse weather conditions can make your lesson much less fun. I will be keeping an eye on weather forecasts prior to all lessons and will let you know of any concerns.

What if I need to cancel / reschedule?

No problem! Please just let me know at your earliest convenience through the Contact Me page or by calling 07770 405611.
