Finchampstead Easter Courses

Uncategorized
We have two courses running from Finchampstead Baptist Centre this week and they're going brilliantly.  So far, the weather is being kind, but I'm worried about tomorrow with the forecast being for wind/rain/sleet.......... Fingers Crossed. There is one thing that strikes me though.  I understand as parents that we are busy, but we really must find time to ensure that our child's bicycle is in a roadworthy condition before pedalling off into the unknown.  I know, as kids, we all rode bikes with no brakes, gears and probably flat tyres as well, but are we really happy to send our children off on a road riding skills course with a bike that is unsafe?  Times are different, roads are different, traffic is different.  Equip your child reasonably........please.  Any queries or…

Cycling Season

Uncategorized
Well we're well and truly underway now, particularly with Bikeability.  First group through for Level 1&2, and another group this week.  Trying to keep my calendar up to date is proving challenging! I'm now pretty much have every day booked between now and 26th July!  Who says Cycling is yesterdays news??

Ramblings
As desperate as I am to concentrate on the family Christmas (13 for lunch at last count, plus a possible 12 for Christmas Eve!), I really want to get on with my Cyclelyn plans for 2012.  Particularly the new Balanceability classes.  All the kit has arrived, with the littlest sweetest balance bikes which I can't wait to see the children using.  I've been building lesson plans and mulling over logistics. I still have to find venues, then work on dates.  Marcus (husband) and Anthony (son 2) put the bikes together for me, greased and pumped tyres and safety checked.  I have a mahoosive bag of toys and marketing tools to help me along the way.  Josh (son 1) has been building this website for me and I've spent all of…
